I was thinking this morning as I did my quite time, how amazing life is. To think where I was at just a few short years ago to where I’m at now! Thank God for the life that he has given to me… Even tho this life has had it share of heartache, pain, sweat and tears it’s all been worth it! this morning as I sit here in my office on this sunny but cold day in north GA. I have to say the longer I serve him the sweeter it becomes. He has blessed me in so many ways one being my wife. She is not only smoking hot–she is the one person on this earth I can depend on. It’s not easy being a pastor’s wife, but God has given her an amazing ability to adapt very well, she is stable, Godly and knows who she is in Christ and that makes her so much more beauty to me! Also, my son that will be here in 6 weeks! I pray that God saves him one day. that he will grow to become a man of character and integrity.. I’m so grateful for the calling on my life. To think I almost threw it away because of what some preacher told me back some years ago. I want to say this. You can’t run from the call of God on your life! To be in the center of His will is the most blessed, peaceful, best place to be. I thank God for the opportunity to work as a minister of the gospel! As I’m reading this passage this morning some things pop out at me here they are….Excellence does”t just happen. It’s something that we have to strive for, work for, and sacrifice for to achieve. And it’s what God asks of us in every area of our lives. Why? Because it glorifies Him.
1. Be a Winner. I Corinthians 9:24 You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally
2. Do Your Best. II Timothy 2:15 Concentrate on doing your best for God, work you won’t be ashamed of, laying out the truth plain and simple
Pursue Excellence daily. God knows your heart. is it always easy? NO is it sometimes hard? YES. Does God reward the faithful YES! So KEEP ON GOING! don’t quit you can do it!
